“Good traditional German food”

Nice traditional German restaurant popular with air crew. The Schweinhacksen with Rotkohl & puree is delicious. Good prices & great service. Visited numerous times during our stay.

“Back again for over 30 years”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

We fly into Frankfurt overnight just to eat here. My husband a retired Airline Captain has to refuel with "swinehauxen". This was and still is a favorite of airline crews. Its like comming home to see family when we are greeted by the owner who always makes one feel more than welcome. Don't expect to hurry through a meal and be sure and try the desserts. The best of traditional food and beer.

“Homecoming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

As an old Airliner I used to come here frequently 30 years ago. The place is full of airline memorabilia and the customer base is still made up of airline crews from all over the world.
During our recent visit we found the original owner in good spirits. We ordered Fish and
Schnitzel and while the food was not outstanding, it nevertheless hit the spot. it was good
to be back. There are tons of hotels in the Hauptbahnhof neighborhood. When staying there
one should always consider the Baseler Eck for lunch or dinner.

“Always come back here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

One of my favorite restaurants in the world! Great location close to central Frankfurt station. Menu has every traditional German dish you could think of... My favorite being the Jagerschnitzel! Really feel like your in old time Germany when you eat here. Traditional food and traditional beer. What more can you ask for?

“Nice german food and service, don't forget to try the apple strudel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

The kind sir that served us, maybe the owner of the place, really made us feel at home. We had dinner with my husband on a Friday evening and even if we got there after 10, he did not hesitate to serve us. The apple strudel was perfect!
