This is the typical view of a German Market with a lot of products. It is nice to see, buy and enjoy there. If you are visiting, it is good to go as a recess from the shopping mall. 2 blocks from My Zeil.

Great market selling all types of foods. Very clean premises located just off the Zeil and easy to find.
Downstairs an amazing array of stalls crammed in together selling - fresh breads, meats, cheeses, spices, nuts, fruit and vegetables.
Even the vendors that could not speak English were able to understand what we wanted and we visited twice stocking up on sausages, cheese, fruit and bread.
Upstairs there were more stalls with wine vendors offering wine by the glass and seafood stalls selling fresh oysters and fish.
Well worth a visit to stock up or just to wander through and take it all in.

Our friends recommended to visit Kleinmarkthalle in Frankfurt.
I can tell this is one of the main attractions for me in Frankfurt.
Great clean place with a lot of fresh food.
Definitely try a sausage at Schreiber - there is always a line to get one:)

My friends in Frankfurt told me we had to see the Kleinmarkthalle, and I'm glad they did because it was wonderful. I love markets of all kinds, and this one was great fun. There are stands that sell nothing but cut flowers right next to fish stalls, and bread markets are squeezed in next to sausages and pates. Are you looking for Turkish spices or blood pudding? Or maybe you just need the freshest tomatoes that can be found in the dead of winter...they're all here in this bustling indoor market. Upstairs are more food stands, but they seem to be mostly for diners, while downstairs are the sellers, with tiny tables crammed around the edges for those who want to eat there. Don't miss Frau Schreiber's wurst stand. She's a local legend!

This indoor market is probably the best in Frankfurt to find a variety of local food and produce in one location. This is my second time in Frankfurt, and I made it a point to stop by after coming here last time I was in town. It's an easy 5 minute walk from the Zeil, the main shopping street.

You'll find all kinds of vendors selling raw and prepared meat products, produce, cheese, flowers, and much more. There is also in my opinion the best place to get a wurst/sausage right here. To find it, enter the market from the main entry on Hasengasse. Proceed straight, walk past maybe 10 or so vendors, and look for a small stall on the LEFT. There's probably a long line formed here during meal times (it moves fast). The stall is small (very narrow), and is run by two very nice older ladies. There's no elaborate display. Just great wursts. Not much English is spoken here, but just point to what you want, and it gets weighed, placed in a roll, and handed to you.
