“Up market but not expensive”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

I stay here when in Frankfurt on business. Apart from the location (a bit close to the Hauptbahnhof and the usual low life) this is a fine hotel, a Meridien at Sheraton prices.

Rooms are fine, big enough (in the old part of the hotel), and well-appointed. Service is with a smile, the bar is excellent and breakfast a must.

Can't see any reason to change from this one.

Note that if you are walking into town in the evening, be sure to avoid the sex-shop street (unless that is your destination...).

I visited Frankfurt this September as I do every two years for the Automechanika exhibition. This time I chose Le Meridien Parkhotel because of the price and the location this Hotel has and I was right. You have to walk less then 5 minutes to get to the central Train Station and from there you are in less than 5 minutes to the Frankfurt Exhibition Center and less then 10 minutes for the City Center (der Zeil) where all shops, Malls and Restaurants are. The Hotel inside is not bad, with big nice LCD tv and a botle of free fresh water for every day. It is also located on a very quiet city quarter next to a small park. Besides that the room does not offer anything special. BUT you have to pay for Internet although we are in year 2012!!!! And this to me is unbelievable for a business hotel like this. We also didnt had Breakfast because of the High prices.

Dear guest “Stafanos F”, we are happy to hear, that you enjoyed the convenient location of our hotel and that you also appreciated the small conveniences in your room. The internet and breakfast prices are in line with other 5 star hotels in Frankfurt. Each guest though, has the option of 30 minutes free internet, which is indicated when logging on to the system in the lobby area.

The rooms are contemporary style and artsy, but they got it wrong. I believe they were trying to express a contrast between the traditional exterior and the modern interior, but the interior looks cheap. Cheasy is the word I would use. I would be disappointed if I had paid full price. The location is convenient if you are stopping over and want easy access to the Main Station. However, it is close to the red lights district so I would not stay there with kids. There is no shopping close by and far from the main business area.

Stayed here a few months ago and with great pleasure.

Comfortable rooms, fairly good English speaking staff and great location to the center.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort on business occasions.

The only downside I could find was the sometimes chaotic dealing with minor issues of the staff but in general my stay was smooth and comfortable.

Stayed here for a week in September for business and it was great. As I don't spend a huge amount of time in my room the decor / layout doesn't really bother me, but I was a little disappointed in being assigned a "normal" room even though I ma an SPG member. Normal SPG hotels have a dedicated floor for members but it didn't seem so here. The room was small but functional. Nice bathroom though with a great shower but thinner towels that I am used to at most hotels. Also the bed was on the hard side, but that is a personal taste.

The bar at this hotel is called "Casablanca" and it is a great hideaway where you can order food both from the main restaurant and the bar menu (the food is great). There is also an open air bar outside the hotel under the trees for nicer weather.

Location is great, being by the railway station and there is easy access south across the bridges and to the older parts of town. Beware the red light district though round the corner to the north for the shadier side of FFT.

Room Tip: Odd numbered rooms from 160 to 180 are above the restaurant and there is noise at midnight as they c...

Dear guest “ACASM”, for the time and effort you took in writing your impressions I would like to thank you. For our SPG members we have got two SPG floors at the moments on the top floors. As our percentage of SPG members did increase a lot during past month, we are planning to increase the number of SPG rooms as well. Please accept my apology that you have not received one of the SPG rooms this time. As you rated our hotel on a high level and you felt comfortable with us, I am happy to see you back when in Frankfurt next time. Best regards, Wolfgang Selinger – Resident Manager

I've stayed in Frankfurt a number of times, and Le Meridien will now be my hotel of choice!

I was there for a large trade fair making hotel choice difficult, but after check in I realised this choice was perfect. The rooms are small (but so are most in Frankfurt), but certainly functional. The location is great, virtually opposite the main train station, and close to plenty of restaurants and bars. Being tucked just behind a few buildings made it quiet compared to other hotels in the same vicinity.

The breakfast was a highlight. The range of food was more than sufficient and the service was very pleasant. Barrista coffee was also much appreciated.

The iron in the room was a disgrace though. The ironing board was half the length of a standard board, and made it impossible to use. I'm really not sure why it is even offered.

Beds were comfortable, but after 12 hours at an exhibition, I probably would have found the floor acceptable. I really despise showers over baths, but that's life.

Overall, this hotel is a good choice for those looking for a 4* well located hotel.

Stayed in this hotel whilst attending a show at the Messe. For this the hotel ideally suited. It is a 5 minute walk from the Bahnhof (train station) which is in-turn is a 5 minute train ride to the Messe.

The hotel is just off the main square where the station is and is two streets down from one of the main streets (Kaiserstrasse) down into the old town and the skyscraper area, so there is plenty of choices to eat and drink close by. I was checked in swiftly and given a room in the 'business section'.

It appeared to have been refurbished recently so its was very modern with all the amenities you expect. Large TV, free water, Minibar, small desk. Wifi is not free but reasonably priced for a business hotel. The room was smaller than what is average these days and maybe with other person it may feel a tad small but for me on my own it was more than adequate. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower.

I chose not to eat in the hotel as it only had a buffet on, the concierge was more than happy to give me a map and a marked on them the various restaurants around. I did have a drink in the bar, (priced like a business hotel!!!) the bar allows smoking, but the barmen are full of conversation. The place has a lot of people in it, full of chat, making it a fun place for a drink, if you don't mind the prices!

I slept well with no problems, I didn't have breakfast in the morning either and was checked out swiftly by the staff.

Overall, this is a good business hotel, its location to the train station makes it a good choice for travelling, although the location surroundings aren't fantastic (a few beggars around) it isn't unsafe. The staff are chatty, helpful and typical professional as you would expect. Hotel rate was expensive, but was actually one of the cheaper ones I found because of the fair ! I would recommend staying in this hotel if you were attending the a show at the Messe.

It was a pleasure to read you felt comfortable throughout your stay with us. Please appologize the miscommunication regarding our restaurant offers: Also if we offer a buffet, a la carte choices are always still available.
