Finding hotels at an OK price in Frankfurt is quite difficult during a trade show. My company's travel agency found Nassauer Hof to me and a colleague. It came at a fair price (I later found out that they - like all other hotels in Frankfurt upped the price heftily during a trade show - almost thrice the price. This even shocked the receptionist when checking out.
The hotel is situated on a corner in the small suburban town of Zielsheim, which in the evenings and dyring daytime is relatively quiet, however, the streets surrounding it is an important connection to one of the main arteries into Frankfurt.
The room was sparsely decorated with a single bed, a small desk, and a OK separate bathroom. Everything was fairly clean.
Arriving here is OK, if you arrive later than midday, the reception is closed. But you just call up a person on the phone on the wall, get a number code read aloud, and punch it into a keypad, and presto, a small door in a shelf opens and you can retrieve your key.
Breakfast is fairly good, with an OK selection and always fresh.
If you take it for what it is, it was an OK experience - but it is by no means comparable with its name-sister in Wiesbaden.More
