i've been there with my friend twice in a weekend, we liked it too much. food is excellent , service is a little bit slow so you don't have to be in a hurry, take your time to enjoy the place and exquisites traditional dishes from soups to wurstel and kartofen just beside the frankfurt main plaza.

Thank ValeSan

Great location, old building with atmosphere, the manager could speak OK english and beer is good but the food was very disappointing and I have had much better traditional fair. Prices seemed steep for what was served but this is the tourist part of town. I would not recommend for eating

Beautiful original building right off of the Romer. Service was friendly and the food was decent. I thought the prices were more than fair for the location and quality. A great place to sit outside on a nice sunny day, drink a beer, and watch the world go by.

...that is Haus Wertheym. Haus Wertheym sits in the Old Town, right in the middle of all the tourists, so expect for prices to be on the higher side. It's been around awhile (the House anyways, since the 1400s). If you sit outside, go and sit down, the staff will bring you a menu and you can order, as long as you get their attention. It was fairly empty when I went on a Saturday night (not a whole lot of people inside or out). Food was decent- the pork scnitzel was good, probably enough for 2 people and the fries were good, but I feel like it could have been better. The side salad had too much dressing, which made it not that appetizing.

Besides being pricey (4 euro for a .4L fanta), they only take cash. Don't be like me and assume they take credit cards before ordering and eating.

Again, NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED

Got a reservation for 27 people at this restaurant. It is extremely overpriced. The cost per person was 42.5 euro, which turned out to be twice as high as in any other German restaurant. Service was average. Our company was fully international, but Mr. Hochmann (the manager) didn't even take care of printing our menu in English language. And the rude waiter was not able to translate it as well.
Furthermore, one of us didn't show up and the rude waiter forced us to pay for that as well. Luckily I forced him to pack the food because apparently they just wanted the money but didn't want to give any food. Very much disappointed by high prices, lack of service. Left without saying anything.
