“Which Hop On Busline to take”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The hotel sold Greenline tours so we bought tickets for later in the day. We stood at the correct site for over an hour and the bus never came. This was a big blue double decker so it wasn't as if we could have missed it, the sign for it was right there with times, and the store it was in front said we were at the right spot. We watched as on the other side of the street, one red double decker after another came and went. So take the RED ones, not Greenline. We complained at the hotel and he called and they told him the bus did go by but we know it didn't. Next morning we tried again, same exact place and it did come, only 15 minutes after the posted time.

“Day trip from Frankfurt to Neuschwanstein”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

I really enjoyed my day trip to Neuschwanstein. It is an extremely long day with a lot of time on the road. If you are not put off by spending 4-5 hours on the road each way, I highly recommend this trip. The castle is one of the most stunning things in Europe that I have seen and the region of Bavaria it is located in is gorgeous. Additionally our guide stopped for pictures in Rothenburg on the way back which is an experience not to be missed. The guide Wolfgang was professional, knowledgable, and even went out of his way to try to converse with me in German to help improve my language skills even though he spoke flawless English.

“Full day tour to Baden Baden Black Forest and Strasbourg”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

This was one of the best tours I have ever done - small number of people, very informative helpful English speaking guide (Peter) and nothing was too much trouble. When we got caught in a traffic jam foe over an hour nothing was left off the tour -we still got to do everything. Very recommended.

“Half day tour to Heidelberg -skip the box lunch”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We took the half day tour to Heidelberg from Frankfurt with ETS Greenline. First of all, a warning about construction on the Autobahns in the area. There are lots of traffic delays that will impact your tours. We went on a rainy day and that did not help either.
However, all that being said, the driver, who was also our guide, knew next to nothing about the Heidelberg Castle as he walked us quickly through the place. Since we lost time in traffic, the whole tour seemed rushed. We then had a little bit of time to visit the Old Town part of the city, where our guide/driver pointed out some places to shop or have a cup of hot chocolate. He then gave us a bit of free time to wander around, but I would have hoped for a more knowledgeable person.
There is a "box lunch" included. The sandwich is kind of a mystery meat, and was a bit soggy by the time we got it. Also a small juice, piece of fruit and a granola bar of some type.
Bring some good food along if you tend to get hungry, and don't rely on this "lunch".

“Full day Rhine tour / half day to Heidelberg”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

As another reviewer stated, this is not a hold your hand the whole way type tour, and as the tour prices are fairly reasonable compared to bigger flashier companies this was fine. Me & my mate really enjoyed the tour guide trips, if you're there for a handful of days and just want to see the sights convenience style then this easy going tour is for you. Guides were excellent and knowledgeable and we were happy to tip them at the end as they were of good character. If you're stuck-up and poncy, don't pick this tour company as it's not for you...
