Miles to walk from lift to room. Tiny room. Very basic bathroom. Killed 8 mosquitos in one evening. Breakfast is self service youth hostel style. Not impressed, so if you don't go to see Telekom - don't stay here.

In this hotel a price and value do meet each other. Here you can have with a reasonable price a confortable stay. Only negative point is that restaurants and everyhting else are fairly far. Eating in one single place for 3 weeks is not ideal. But have you cannot have everything.

Oh and there is no gym or any other leasure activities, except eating and drinking.

My husband and I spent 3 nights there in June and considered it good value for money. There's a large, free carpark. The room was rather small but clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi was useful. It felt like a business hotel - rather soul-less, particularly as it is located in a commercial area. However, the reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast choices were good, and we would recommend it for no-frills, short-stay breaks. The walk into Darmstadt centre took about 30 minutes. The weather was quite cool when we stayed there so the lack of air-conditioning didn't bother us. However, with the window open, we were woken early in the morning by the rubbish truck emptying the bins below our 4th floor window.

Location! Location! Location!
That's most of the times one of the most important features a hotel can have. Coupled with a price tag of 75 Euro a night, including breakfast, you can do almost nothing wrong.

Mind though, that the rooms have a certain youth hostel like charm, nevertheless though, again, it is just 75 Euro a night. If you want more bang for the buck, be prepared to spend more bucks to get more bang.

Beds are alright-ish comfort-wise, definitely big enough for a night or two, bathrooms are clean although not really stylish or, well, up to what you can get in 2012 (80s feeling, definitely...). On the other hand you got the chance to plug into the internet in your room and have a decent speed.

Food is...canteen style, nothing to write home about, but reasonably priced. The hotel bar is decent, one of the better things about this hotel. Speaking of better things... parking lots are plenty and sized properly. And free.

All in all, if you have to visit Deutsche Telekom, this is definitely one of your better choices to stay at.

I quite liked staying at the Commundo. The people are helpful and very attentive, and the place works well. The one caveat with the Commundo is the lack of perks. I stayed there for an extended period, and I missed not having a fridge, and a gym. The food gets quite repetitive over time, the breakfast was never particularly good, yet I would expect it to be based on their room prices and location. The TV is tiny, and you can never change the audio to English, only in some very limited VOD which was mostly free by the way
