“A perfect relaxing evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

WE ,6 adults, visited on Wednesday Jan 9th, 2013. There was a special for 13 Euros per person from 9 p.m. until midnight. There were a few children but there is no special price for children. I was told that they do this to discourage children from disturbing the tranquility of the place. The token system turns the free locker key into a bracelet that you wear on your wrist or your ankle. The entrance fee includes access to saunas, sun lamps, heat lamps, massage chairs, whirl pools and all pools inside and out. You can swim under a plastic flap to go outside. The entire place was spotless. The shower rooms, one for men and another for women. The locker rooms are co-ed with changing rooms and wall mounted blow dryers that go up and down to adjust to the users height.there is free parking in a parking garage across the street.

“Great place to learn about German sauna culture.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Excellent German spa with many Sauna and massage options. There is also several swimming pools and a fully functional gym there. Monday to Friday, it costs Euro 13 for 2 hours. On weekends the price is Euro 15 for 2 hours. This place is great place to learn about the German sauna culture - which is a quintessential part of German life. Be forewarned that the location is "FKK" which means that nudity is expected. It is also mixed, which means that men and women are walking around nude in the sauna area. Towels are also a must so you should bring them with you(large ones so that you do not drip your sweat onto the Sauna benches ) - perhaps from the hotel. If you don't have a towel, you can rent one at the location. Here the concept of a sauna is brought to a high art. There are Sauna Master(Bademeister) that come into specific saunas and do a little 'show' of pouring the sauna essence on the stones. The 'show' lasts 8-10 minutes. The Sauna Master will pour the sauna essence on and use his/her towel to circulate the air in the sauna so that the heat is well circulated. When this is being done, please do not enter or leave the sauna, as this is considered 'rude'. Naturally if it is a medical emergency, you can leave the sauna - but expect to hear something from the people there. Don't be intimidated. Just take a little time to observe what other people are doing and follow. I do believe that the effort will give you a much deeper understanding of German life and culture. If you found this review useful, please acknowledge it as "helpful".

“Numerous visits”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

I was introduced to the thermes by a german friend 6 years ago and naturally was very apprehensive, but after an hour or so the pools/spas/saunas take over your senses.I have been to this therme in june and now again three times in october. On the sundays there are more people especially if it is raining ..what better way to spend such a day! I sw the Grand prix on their big screen at the bar in between saunas and my second visit I did a gym session in the basement then went top totally relax in the sauna village- all up I spent 8 hours there and the time does go fast. There are all types of people here and I walked away being LESS judgemental about people and their body shapes. There are 2 saunas just for women if they do not want to go in a combined sauna. If more of the western world would look at nudity as completley natural and wholesome without the media etc. damning and sexualising the human body we would all be better off. It was great to see 2 young wheelchair bound male/female people there in one sauna yesterday, everyone is welcome here with no hassles and no phones, computers or radios is very undisturbing.
