This is a superb hotel. The rooms are large, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff, including the excellent breakfast staff and desk staff are all very helpful and take time to try to help you. In particular, Alexander the night concierge at the front desk was instrumental in helping us to work out what to do, when to do it, and what was open, carrying out lots of research for us and thoughtfully suggesting what would be good at the time of year. The breakfast is phenomenal and the bed was enormous. Nice! The only slight downside - the whirlpool is no longer there.

I've gone twice to this hotel, always with my family (2 children, so 4 people). Both times we booked a suite, which comes with a master bedroom and a large living room large enough to roll out the sofa bed and have plenty of space to move around.
The facilities are nothing spectacular, but everything is well kempt, clean, and maintenance is up to date.
The spectacular thing about this hotel is the service. The staff really goes out of its way to help, and they do it in a very friendly manner, always with a smile. There are also some very nice touches such as a basket of fruit in your room upon arrival, and a nice welcoming note.
Breakfast is of good quality and plentiful.
The location of the hotel is perfect, exactly in downtown, in front of a large and beautiful park. A walk from the train station must be around 7-10 blocks away?, so not that far, but not easy if one is hauling luggage (I didnt do that walk).
The only dissappointment is that wifi is not included and I was misled when I bought it. I got the 24-hour card, but it was not clear to me at the time of purchase that all options (I think there's a 1-hour, 6-hour and 12-hour) can be switched on and off, so you really only need to purchase the 24-hour code if you plan to stay connected during 24 hours (which is a lot... we thought that the code was valid for 24 consecutive hours only). Most people would tipically only need 1 to 3 hours I reckon.
Garage parking undetgound, very convenient. Fee not included in hotel rate, reasonable price.

i really didn´t know what to expect from park hotel, but it was a great surprise! the rooms are renovated and comfortable... breakfast is pretty good and there´s a nice park in front of the hotel! polite and helpful staff...the only bad remark is the wi fi connection, way too expensive.

I have been visiting this hotel for more than 10 years now, due to my job and i enjoy staying here. It is a simple and efficient place. Plus the charms of being a small town hotel make the stay pleasant. For example, when you go to breakfast, nobody asks you your room number or brings over any bill to sign. This is a small matter but makes a big impression. The staff is also very friendly. The rooms are big, there is a trouser press and a kitchenette in every room, the balconies give a rather homely feel, the location is simply great. The big Kurpark is just across the street and a busy marketplace on the street behind. My office too is a short walk from here and at breakfast one meets many colleagues from different parts of the world. Plus, the hotel doesn't charge extra for an early arrival which is fantastic because I always land in Germany early in the morning and am in a desperate need of a shower and a shave. this part is really appreciated. The internet billing is "cumulative" so if you buy a 24 hour coupon, it can last you easily for 3-4 days if you remember to log out every time you go off the net. Just a couple of minor grouses that i have are, for one, the pillows here are paper thin. I have never understood why anyone would ever buy such pillows, far less on such a massive scale. Secondly, the shower screen in the bathroom exists solely for its looks and is absolutely useless in preventing water spillage all over outside the shower area. Really hard to understand why. Apart from this, the hotel is just great.

Room Tip: Avoid room 304 if you are interested in a good quality wifi service. I have seen bad quality wifi in...

A bit oldish and over-starred (more like a 3 stars than the 4 it exhibits). Yet, friendly personnel, good bar, nice shower, very good breakfast. It's crossed the street from a beautiful park. Warning: wi-fi expensive and you pay for 24 hours (meaning you can use it for a total of 24 hours, even non-consecutive; not for one day). It takes 25 min and 45-50 euros from the airport.

Parkhotel has a lovely location next to the Kurpark and just a walking distance from the railway station. The buildings are from the 60's or the 70's, but like almost everything in Germany is kept in good condition. Staff nice and kind. Rooms big, really clean, with small balconies. Very quiet. TV with lots of German channels, some English as well. One con - they charge 15 EUR for wi-fi per 24 h. Breakfast included, nothing special, served in a pretty small breakfast room, which gets very crowded in the morning.

Spent 4 nights at the Parkhotel in Bad Homburg this christmas time. Firstly, Bad Homburg was absolutely lovely - much nicer than expected, I chose it as just a place near Frankfurt and we were both really pleasantly surprised. Great Restaurants - Limoncello, Kartoffel Kueche, Tapas Bar and as a local pub the Olymp not far from the Kur Park.

The Hotel, overall very good.

Plus Points:
Fab breakfast, very rich in variety, quality and quantity, it comes thoroughly recommended
Very friendly and helpful staff
spotlessly clean everywhere
one of the most comfortable hotel beds ever (room 315)
Spacious room at a very good price

Negatives points:
Car park, far, far, far too narrow - beware
Hotal Bar closed for the duration - I expect a 4 star hotel to have a functioning bar (which looked really nice looking through the glass door!)
no nice view from our window as hotel is set back from the Park - at least our bit was

Would we go again - yes but without paying for car park and to try and get a better view and the bar being open.
