Whenever I come to Hamburg I at least go there once!
Germanys oldest Italian Restaurant (now in the 4th generation since 1908, run by the same family !!) has the greatest atmosphere there is.
Try the spaghetti scampi, the filetto a la griglia (beef tenderloin), the vitello tonnato, the tiramisu, panna cotta, pasta salsicca, or, or, or ....
The food is to die for, the area unbelievable (the ladies of the night literally wait for customers meters away from the entrance door) and the people who run the show are warm hearted and professional. Don´t expect any posh lately opened hotspot.
This place is there forever, aged well and will hopefully be there for a long time. Don´t come without a reservation or the regulars will laugh in your face (from there reserved tables).
Don´t forget to try their own imported wine (pinot grigio and... ?) with a picture of great grandpa cuneo on every bottle. Really good wine for a more than reasonable price.
Damn... I am already hungry again ;-)
