While in Germany on a business trip, I was very hungry as I did not have food other than McDonald or pizza, or some German food which I cannot describe. So here we were looking for some good restaurant where we can have some good food. There were a lot of places to choose from near the Altona station. When we saw Balutschistan I did not think too much about it, Indian food in Germany cannot be good right ? I was so wrong.
The moment I entered the restaurant it was amazing, the setting was very warm with candle lights. The best part was out host (unfortunately I forgot this gentleman's name) he was very warm in welcoming us. Very smart and suggested some specials.
They provide fresh salad to munch on while we wait for our food. Once the food was served we were pleasantly surprised, the Dal Tadka and the Paneer Makhani were really nice. The Naan were unique in taste but good. And the papad and yes the chutney was a master class.
The food was very delicately spiced and fresh. The ginger tea at the end of the meal was icing on the cake.
We again visited Balutschistan for out last meal in Germany and were not disappointed at all.
If I ever visit Hamburg again I will go to Balutschistan not only for their great food but also for the warmth of their staff.
