Small hidden place at the end of a hidden street! We went for what probably was the best asparagus we ever had (served with salmon). Decent price, friendly and funny waiters. Perfect spot to get a meal and have a break in between visits and sightseeing.

We had our group dinner for a business meeting in March. It was located at a quiet corner about 5 minutes walk from the Steigenbuger hotel.

We sat at the upper level which is full of antiques and traditional deco. Suggested by a frequenter I opted for the Labskaus, it was minced beef cooked with mashed potato covered by fried eggs, and was just delicious.

A nice place to experience local german food at reasonable price.

We have been warmly welcomed in this authentic restaurant and even though we were English speakers our waiter was very friendly. The food was nice (but you’d better like beetroots!) whether it was fish, labscouse or steak.

From the exterior alone, this historical piece of old architecture in Hamburg exudes a unique atmosphere that lures people to stop by and wonder what is inside, and also located just next to the popular St. Michaelis Church.
Suitable for both casual lunch or romantic dining, the interior is a traditional 17th century vibe. You can also opt to dine at the picturesque alleyway during warmer climate.
The food is authentic to Hamburg & North Germany cuisine, the Lobscouse is a recommendation here & any fish dishes due to Hamburg's popularity as maritime city!

Hidden away in a quaint and pittoresque street corner, it would be difficult to find this restaurant without directions. It was very authentic Hamburger and located in an old house with a small staircase and decoration from the mid 20th century. Food was ok and service was good. All the dishes are traditional German dishes and well made as such.
