The hotel is situated on Große Freiheit, where there are lots of bars, strip clubs etc...people stay outside drinking and there is loud music until roughly 6am in the morning. The beds were comfortable, so I did get some sleep but woke up several times due to the noise (windows were closed, but still very loud).
We had breakfast the first morning, which was good and available from 6am-10am, but on the saturday morning it was only available from 8am and we had to leave by 7 - so we didnt get breakfast...they offered us a yoghurt, but that was it.
Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful, beds were made everyday, bathroom cleaned...
We paid €72 per night for a double room, which i feel is too much for what we received...but the hotel was pleasant enough. I personally found the fact that there was no lift very inconvenient because we had to drag heavy luggage to the 4th floor.
I would only recommend staying at this hotel if you plan to go out each night and stay out very late, and get up very late. Otherwise, its too noisy and in the wrong area for day time people...Oh and there is wireless internet available but the signal is very poor and the internet is slow.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in this Hotel that is situated just in the middle of Reeperbahn and Grosse Freiheit. We chose this hotel, because we wanted to experiense what Hamburger nightlife would look like. Friday and Saturday evenings were a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us, and our windows were not on the streetside.

Our room was big enough and the bathroom was also OK. Hotel staff was very friendly, and breakfast was delicious.

Also connections were good, because train station (Reeperbahn) is only 100 meters away. Sunday morning Fishmarket is only about 1 km walk away. A nice place and happening to experiense, too. We bought 3-day tickets from a machine, and enjoyed Hamburg's good S/U network.

I organised a lads weekend for my 40th in April, we were a group of 22. For a stag do or a lads weekend you could not get a better location, right in the middle of Hamburgs famous Reeperbahn area.

The hotel itself is pretty basic but the twin rooms we had were clean & tidy with a decent bathroom. At the end of the day how much time do you spend at the hotel, this place is all about being in the thick of the bars at a very reasonable price. Opposite the hotel was a great little bar where we would all meet for the night out as the hotel does not have any lobby bar.

If you walk out of the hotel to the right for about 100yards is a thai owned karaoki bar !! sounds strange but it had a great atmosphere and really packed the crowds in, not just stag do's.

Overall if you behave yourselves and treat people with respect the locals and the party crowd are very friendly with lots of nationalities mixing well.

We booked with a company called Vamos travel who organised a guide, a meal out at a good restaurant and target shooting at the gun club in the town.

We had a storming weekend but for a family break the hotels postion would not really be suitable.

Remember.... location,location,location !!!

The hotel was a big one, clean but basic, nothing special, it was in a bad place because there were a lot of sex shops and streaptese bars...so it takes time to go to the downtown...We slept there only for a night because we were going home from the airport in Hamburg. They gave us our breakfast in a bag so it was nice otherwise we couldn't stay for the real breakfast.
