Our last attraction to see in Hamburg before leaving to Denmark. Quite a big (free) parking lot, surprisingly - free entrance, printed guides in all the different languages and on the big posters all over the tour inside the garden. The garden is divided into 3 sections - "plants and mankind", "plant geography" and "plant system" - all three are beautifully kept, all really educational - for children of all ages and for adults as well. Some of the stuff I have not seen elsewhere - i.e. "smell garden" where you can smell different plant spices or "touch and feel" with boxes with curtains behind which you can touch some plants part and judge what is it. In the geography sections I would especially recommend Chinese and Japanese sections with beautifully preserved gardens of its style. A lot of resting areas along the whole route. You can also have a coffee/tea there in a small imbiss. Well spread toilets over the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
