“The Best Traditional German Food & Drink”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

A great atmospheric Brauhaus (a micro-brewery for the Brits) which serves a great selection of traditional German food. Being in Hamburg there was a good range of seafood, but on this occasion I wanted some meat. A huge plate of Bratwurst and Sauerkraut along with a good stein of lager hit the jackpot.
The service was not great, but then it wasn't too busy and the place is quite large. However, the young lady serving seemed preoccupied with other things.
A very well maintained and immaculately clean restaurant.
Quite simply good quality food, accompanied with good home-brewed beers, served in good surroundings, priced reasonably.

“Authentic hamburger in pretzel bread and great beer”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

Craft brews in a surprisingly upscale and authentic German brew pub. Food and ambience is very good In spite of being in the middle of a tourist area. My best burger on the trip and excellent goulash soup. If you don't like beer, their coffee comes with a cookie and is a perfect respite from a touring day.

“By the waterfront”
Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

We had good time in this restaurant, i think it was the beer, touristy, but very good location by the waterfront, it was recommended by a friend.
I will recommend the slow cooked pork for €14.70
They claim to be the only German owned microbrewery in Hamburg.

“Adequate”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

Visited here with a large group of friends. The very efficient English speaking host managed to squeeze our large ground onto two tables. Good quality beer but the steaks were fairly average. Six of the eight people on my table ordered medium rare and the steaks were fairly inconsistently done. The pretzels were very good.
