Fantastic Turkish charcoal barbeque, great value for money and friendly staff plus the food is fantastic.
First up spicy dip and turkish yoghurt (like tzaziki) served with turkish bread and leavened bread rolls plus salad comes with every meal and is served up first and all included in the price.
Minced spiced lamb skewer then wrapped in turkish bread with special sauce (Kebap Beyti), succulent chicken pieces skewer (Tavuk Şiş) and lamb rib skewer all barbequed over charcoal and served on a bed of 2 types of rice (3 full sized serves) followed by Künefe which is angel hair cheese dessert with sugar syrup that tastes much better than is sounds.
All the above with a large beer (500ml) and a bottle of red wine (Turkish and not bad at all) for just over 50 Euros, there is only one red wine and one white wine available so the choice is easy.
Kozlava is located in Barbek which is well off the tourist track but is easy to get via bus or bicycle from downtown and is well worth the trip, the Barmbek area has a large Turkish community and it says something about the quality of the food in that it is always very well patronised by the locals.
Opened 7 days a week from 08:00 to 24:00, you can reserve a table although this is really not necessary as if the place is full you don't have to wait long for a free table as a lot of the locals call in for a quick bite.
