I stayed at The Steigenberger Hotel in Hamburg for 1 night as part of a recent business trip. It's in a great central location and is located just 20 minutes from the airport. The taxi fare was €25.
The room was very spacious with a comfortable Queen size bed, a well stocked mini bar, a security safe and a nice desk for working at. The bathroom was a good size and it had a lovely, proper sized deep bath (great for bubble baths). I ordered room service for dinner and the food was excellent - it also arrived incredibly quickly and was nice and hot. I also had breakfast delivered to the room and this was adequate but nothing to rave about for the price (€24 for a contintental breakfast which was pretty basic).
The hotel has great spa facilities although I didn't get chance to try these.
The only faults I could find is that the hotel charges for wi-fi! Something that is a bug bear of mine in this day and age and is uneccessary. They also only give loyalty points if you have an Air Berlin or a FinnAir card - not much good if you don't live in either Finland or Germany!!!More
