Stayed here for one night in February. I wanted something close to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, and the Hotel Aachener Hof was a short walk away. The intersecting streets where it is located is very charming. Staff was quite nice.
There is no elevator, but no big deal. It is only four stories high. I had a nice, quiet room on the third floor. Really good size room, comfy bed, and huge windows that opened up to a nice neighborhood view. Bathroom was really good.
I had a couple hours of free time, so I explored Hamburg by foot, which is very easy from this hotel. The sights are nearby, and it certainly helped that I was there during a gorgeous sunny winter day.
Breakfast is in their main level room - a little dark and cramped, with slightly limited options, but they had just what I needed for a quick breakfast before a train trip.
Looking for a clean, safe hotel near the train station? You would be very hard pressed to find a hotel that provides this level of quality at a great rate.More
