Taking a stroll at the Jungfernstieg on a warm summer day is really beautiful and makes time fly by. If you are looking for shopping opportunities and money is not a concern, then the Jungfernstieg is a great place to go. But be warned: there are a lot of really expensive stores.

On the bank of inneralster lake, many people are here to meet together in a good atmospher. Take a beer and enjoy the evening looking at the lake (but take care at your belongings, many people, very busy)

Beautiful place in the heart of the city and perfect start to exploring the place...lots of relaxed cafes, brilliant shopping and bars nearby.

We haven't been to many Hamburg trips not going to the Jungfernstieg at some point.

To me, this is the center of the city.

Enjoy a meal or a drink during all seasons, visit the shops around, go to the bars and art galleries on Ballindamm or have a nite cap at the bar of the large hotel (which name I cannot come up with).

Start your Hamburg from this fixpoint which, at that, is very close to the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof).

This is a mini-5th Avenue. Actually not just Jungfernstieg, but the street parallel to it (behind the Jungfernstieg stores) also. Start like at the Apple store (right at the Jungfernstein UBahn stop), and go around the block. But the view of the lake from Jungernstieg is beautiful in any season. In the summer you also have boat rides from there.
