The friendly maitre d' realised we were not in the market for sweet and sour pork and prawn crackers. He spoke quite good English and simply asked what kind of thing we like. He returned shortly afterwards with a delicious Cantonese-style soup, crispy salt and pepper king prawns, Szechuan pork, steamed halibut with ginger and spring onions, fresh gai-lan with oyster sauce and garlic. It was as good Chinese food as I've had in many years living in London (married to a Chinese woman!). Definitely worth a visit. And nice inside. The front parlour room would make an excellent space for a larger group, but I guess you'd need to reserve that.
