This lovely park starts just as the Reeperbahn ends and shows a totally different face of this fascinating city. It goes on for miles and has something for everyone - formal gardens, lakes, water features, cafes, children's playgrounds, roller skating, miniature golf, illuminations, water features, etc, etc. On a warm summer's day (which sadly we didn't have!) one could easily spend a day there. A very pleasant surprise.

Lovely well laid out park, full of locals on a sunday afternoon enjoying sunshine and live jazz music. Beer, ice cream, very pretty.

I have stepped into Planten un Blomen more or less by accident on a walk to the city center. I was totally surprised by the size and the variety of this beautiful park with different sections like the rose garden, the Japanese garden, the huge playground and a nice lake.
I can only recommend going there and spend some time to hang out and walk around.

We spent a morning here waiting for our train back home. The park is great (although we sadly did not get round to see the japanese garden) good trpical house although the renovation work was a bit in the way. Best surprise a very large playground including water play, for kids of all age. Excellent free kids activity

This is a lovely park in Hamburg that I highly recommend. It provides beautiful gardens (the Japanese garden was just marvelous) that are perfect for a calm walk with your company, or just on your own.
The Park is also presented in one of my travel videos around the world. This specific video also features other must-sees and do's in Hamburg. You can watch this video on YouTube:
