We wanted to have a new dinning experience with the family and choose the Copper House as it offers the interesting option "Live Cooking".
The Copper House is located in St. Pauli close to the Herbertstrasse. The design is very modern and stylish but we already realized at the entrance that it is very crowded (at least on a Saturday).
You can choose to eat a la card or enjoy the all you can eat live cooking. You go and pick your own food (different fish, meat, vegetables, etc.) and give it to the chefs who then "grill"/"barbecue" it infront of you. The cost for this are ~30€. The food is yummy. However, there are a lot of guests using this service and therefore from time to time you have to wait for some time to get your food.
Furthermore, my feeling was that the Copper House is planing its guests in block. You can reserve a table for 18:00 but have to be done by 19:45 because at 20:00 the next group comes. I also head the feeling that the waiter were a little bit bugged as the restaurant was full and they had to actually "work"
Overall though it was a good experience. Good food for a fair price in a nice location.
