As my wife is not very impressed by typical German cuisine and quite fond of French food, we thought during our stay in Hamburg that Café Paris was a good recommendation.
What a mistake!
We didn’t feel very welcome, as the service was inattentive and slow. The wine was not the best from the French cellars. And the food was hardly suitable for consumption. My steak was best to be compared with a shoe sole. And my wife had a Bouillabaisse, that appeared to be tapped from the drain of the dishwasher.
One small comfort: when we complained the Bouillabaisse was deducted from the bill. But that didn’t make up for a ruined evening.
