Been to the Meatery with a friend. She's been sitting in the aisle, and the service did not really bother, she's got constantly pushed around.
My steak's been overcooked: I've ordered it medium-rare, but it came well done which is for a steak restaurant a bit of a disaster.
The chopped salad is something I've never seen before, some randomly leaves thrown together, topped with the most boring dressing dollop ever. Any hobby chef would do it better.
The waiter was not able to recommend a proper marinade, the whole cooking scene is based on the idea of giving the guest a big choice, but ultimately you're lost in space - and the taste is not worth it. It's more of a very normal, but overpriced steak place.
It's nothing more than an average restaurant in a hotel.
Not sure what the hype is all about.
On another note: I hate being forced to cross the entire hotel lobby to use the bathrooms downstairs which are open to the public. There should be some decent loos for restaurant guests only. Very inconvenient.
Anyhow - I would not go back. Been quite disappointed.
Especially by the service not being overly impressed with handling my steak not being cooked the right way. I felt like being a nuisance, though it's been clearly their mistake.
Between medium-rare and well done - is a very harsh line.
BTW my friend's steak came with a chunky sinew.
