A recently renovated 18th century building in the old town, formerly the hospital wing of a military orphange. Beautifully restored. Tastefully decorated, if rather austere. Within easy walking distance of Potsdam's major sights.
Our room was very spacious, quiet and clean, and the bed very comfortable. A large TV, a writing desk and a comfortable sofa, limited hanging space and shelves, but no drawers and no 'fridge.
The bathroom was enormous, with room for a wheel chair (or two), and the WC and shower had semi-assist bars. However, it had no shelves at all. Perhaps it was designed by a man!!
The staff were charming and always helpful.
Breakfast was outstanding, mainly because of the high quality of the ingredients, but also because of the variety of foods on offer.
We were able to stay only four nights. We now look forward to returning to Potsdam in order to stay in this hotel again.More
