The museum depicts several climatic zones by taking us on a journey along the 8° east longitude. We travel from Bremerhaven to Switzerland, Samoa, Niger , St. Lawrence Islands, to name a few. The highest temperature we encounter is 37° Celsius and the lowest is -7° Celsius. It is advised to leave the jackets at the Garderobe, since it is quite warm in several of the rooms. The museum also gives an insight into the lifestyle and culture of the people in different parts of the world via audios, videos, and several exhibits. The climatic conditions that the visitor can experience are windy, hot and humid, dry heat, warm and wet rainforests, temperate beaches, and crippling cold of the Antarctic. There are also some insects, snakes, and an aquarium. At the end there are some games that are more interesting for kids. This is a great place to introduce children to different cultures. The price is 16€ per person. The museum is definitely worth spending that money. I would recommend to go with kids. The staff do not speak much English but they are very helpful. The videos shown at the beginning are in German but most of the exhibits have English translations, so you wouldn't miss much even if you don't speak German. The best way to get here is to get down at Bremerhaven Bahnhof and either walk 27 mins, or to get a bus. I would personally recommend the walk as the city is quite nice and there is a beautiful brick church and a pond with swans on the way. The whole tour of the Klimahaus took about 3 hours and after that I checked out the museum gift shop which does have some interesting postcards and several books. The stuff at the gift shop seemed to be reasonably priced.

Lads, lasses, guys, gals, stop. This 'museum' isn't about climate change at all, it's about travelling the globe. Visiting this venue beats anything you could ever possibly learn from watching that much-talked-about Ben Stiller series in the AMNH in NYC. When in Bremerhaven, what you need to do is you must go. Honestly. Did I mention that kids will love it, too?
