Visiting such Bavarian institution as Hofbräuhaus might not come first in mind when you visit a north German city of Bremen. However, we decided to come to the Silvester (New Year Eve) party arranged in Hofbräuhaus - and it was worth it! Music, lot's of good and different's kind of food and (of course!) beer! Although I've visited Munich a couple of times, I got a very good crash course on Bavarian folklore.
I don't have an idea how's Hofbräuhaus in Bremen in a normal evening, but a few things imply that it can't be bad: service was splendid although the house was completely full; premises are beautiful and prime, house is truly magnificent and a rockthrow from the oldtown centre; cook are likely the same in normal evenings and for Silvester they had done very good work.
