Three days in advance I booked dinner through the online system for Saturday evening (I know how busy are all restaurants in Bremen during the Christmas market). I got a phone call saying that I could only have dinner for 1 hour and 15 minutes and then I should leave, because the table was reserved. I accepted that, assuming that everywhere would be very busy and difficult to make a resevation.
We arrived on time at the day of the reservation. The restaurant was almost emty and we were offered a table just next to the door (you could feel the freeezing cold every time the door opened) on a bar-like table. Although I complained that this did not meet our expectation, the waitress said that there was no other option, without offering an alternative, or even apologizing!!! And I should say again that the restaurant was almost empty at the time we arrived! She even said that she had informed me about the table close to the door, which was not true.
Of course we left! And this was a great decision since there are so many great restaurants on the same street, with no reservation necessary and no restrictions on how long you can stay.
My advice is, if you want to visit this restaurant, to make VERY clear which table you will be given and avoid the ones close to the central door.
