Best Western Hotel Bremen City
Ranked #22 of 86 Hotels in Bremen
Reviewed May 27, 2014

We have just had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. Rated a 3* but in our opinion a very good 3* The hotel room was very clean and staff extremely helpful and friendly, speaking the english language too, which was a great help due to our German being very minable. The breakfast is excellent too with such a vast range to choose from. The location is excellent too with everything in walking distance. The trams are excellent and only a 10 minute journey from the airport boarding tram number 6. Bremen itself is very clean with a great selection of bars and cafes. Many sites to see and also recommend a walk to the river where there are many bars to have a drink/meal and a river cruise. Definately recommend Le Grill restaurant along side the river. A great place to stay.

The hotel lies very central, close to the main station and the old centre, and the area is safe. Everything is in walking distance, restaurants and cafes (and a cinema) very close, and a great green area for jogging or a walk just around the corner.
Stayed at a single room on the second floor, which was clean and good. Nothing extraordinary, the mattress was firm, as I like it, two different kind of pillows, tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was very small, though, and the room had a peculiar smell.
Free W-Lan, but also a computer and a printer in the lobby.
The best thing about the hotel is the really excellent breakfast, with a huge choice (I counted 11 different sorts of bread), and fresh (this goes for the fruit as well as for the cheeses, cold cuts and fish). Even better: every day, there are new variations, and the quality of food is great. There is plenty of food for the health conscious (real bircher muesli!) and the vegetarian, too, and special treats for kids.
The breakfast staff is very friendly and accommodating, as are the receptionists.
I am definitely going to stay here again!

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms to the street if you like to sleep by an open window, as many trams are passing by...

This Best Western hotel is situated very close to the main train station (be aware, it's NOT the one on the square opposite the main station), about 5 minutes walk. The city centre is a 10 minute walk away. The car park (garage) is about 50 metres away. Make sure to ask for a discount ticket when checking out.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Check in was swift and all our questions were promptly answered.

The room was very large. In one bit there was a desk, wardrobe and enough space to leave your suitcase. The next bit was the actual bedroom. We had a twin room. There was enough space so you could easily walk around the beds and there was another desk.
The room had 3 windows of which 2 looked out onto a sort of inner courtyard (letting in little light and fresh air). The third window looked over the back of a number of buildings. Here there was lots of day light, and if left open enough fresh air. The room was rather quiet.
The mattress was rather firm and not too long. However, the bed was adjustable (although we didn't try this).
The shower room was small but clean and had everything you would need.

For breakfast there's a wide choice of all kinds of things. Bread (rolls), cereals, meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage. On Sundays there's sekt as well as fruit juice and water. Plenty of coffee and tea. Even hot chocolate if you ask. Again staff is very friendly and helpful.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again on another visit to Bremen.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 208 and although two of the three windows look out onto a court yard it had one wi...

Great location between train station and the city. The room is clean and the room is large enough, but there is no ventilation system in toilet. The reception is nice and city map is available on the front desk. The breakfast here is excellent with various choices and delicious food. It's great to stay here.

Stayed one night in this hotel en route to Hanover. Reception area is small and the room even smaller. It was a single room but very tiny to the extent of bring slightly claustrophobic. It needed air conditioning, it was too cold to open the window but too hot inside. Breakfast was very good with sufficient variety. Definitely good value for a 3*.

I stayed here for nearly a month while working at the university and can't think of anything to complain about. It's close to the main railway station and the centre; the tram is easily accessible. The breakfast was varied enough that it didn't get boring for a month, and the laundry room was also welcome. My room was spacious, with a desk and an armchair. I would definitely stay here again.

The first impression is that the hotel is like any other good bestewstern hotel because of the small lobby. The surprise is the interior and rooms with ultra modern minimalistic design of high class quality. Big enaugh rooms , small bath and very very rich breakfast
Even a glass a champagne waits you !! Near the railway station and walking distance to the old town

Room Tip: ask for higher floor.
