Having read one of the Tripadvisor reviews (that said no need to book) we turned up on a soaking wet Monday evening to find that the place was full. We returned the next day for a meal that was made memorable by the surroundings rather than the food. The menu is mainly traditional German with some Italian twists. Our food was rather bland and our choice of wine, a dry rose, only so-so. However the location and atmosphere made it worth the visit.
