We had to collect the key from a nearby hotel, where the staff were supposed to speak English - unfortunately the man on reception spoke very little and was unable to accurately describe where the apartment was located. There were no instructions with the key, or sent by email. The apartment was a 20 minute walk from the hotel, but the initial finding of it took about 45 minutes.
The apartment is on the 5th floor, there is a 'small' lift - but not for the claustrophobic! The apartment itself was more than adequate, very clean and comfortable; it made for a good base. The nearest U-bahn was approximately a 10 minute walk away so location wise it was good. Lidl across the road, and Penny (another supermarket) a couple of doors up the street so obtaining provisions was easy. We ate out most of the time but not in Wedding so I can't comment on the local restaurants.
BUT....the wi-fi did not work; fortunately I have a 4G phone but my friends did not, which made planning our days out difficult due to limited internet access. Also, the TV reception was poor - not that we watched it particularly, only wanted to catch up the news.
