Description: Since the turn of the century exists a restaurant in Charlottenburg which is well-known as a synonym for comfortableness and quality. Nostalgia and the modern age are combined successfully here. Zille's inheritance is ever-present in our traditional restaurant. The glass fassade which has originally been preserved, the cobbled surface of the floor and the old pharmacist sideboard that has been changed to a bar, show more than 100 years of the restaurant's history. You can stay relaxed in this authentic nostalgic atmosphere, enjoy the best meals ever and let us spoil you the best way. The Zillemarkt belongs to Berlin as the Brandenburger Tor and the Spree!

We tried out this place rather spontaneously on a friday night, being hungry and having arrived in Berlin rather late. We did not regret our choice. Although the place was pretty packed at 9 pm, my girlfriend and I had no trouble finding a seat. This is not the place for the romantic candle light dinner, as it is rather big and a little noisy. We ordered Buletten with Bratkartoffeln (two fried mince meat burgers with fried potatoes), a combination not shown in the menu, but readily served nonetheless. The potatoes had a little too much salt, but the stuff was delicious in a rich way (you'd love your german mum to cook like that). So, although the place is arguably a little touristy, it is a good starting point for your first bites of typical Berlin food. Portions seemed small and turned out quite massive. They also serve their own beer, which we liked a lot. Service was friendly and quick and handled the masses of guests remarkably efficient. Recommendable, indeed!

Right next to the Savignyplatz S-Bhan Station I saw this place and like the look of it. I was right! First of all, they brew their own pilsner type beer and it is wonderful. The service was excellent and the food also excellent and great value. We kept going back and also recommended it to some friends who also had a great time. Can't wait to go back next year.

We decided to try this restaurant because of the nice garden at the back. It turned out to be a bad decision. I had the spinach chicken and think this was one of the worst meals I've ever been served at a restaurant. The chicken was very dry, the spinach overcooked and everything drowned in a brown sauce. Glad I never have to visit again.

My wife and I visited this nice beer garden near the Berlin Savignyplatz station on a hot day, and enjoyed the food, and the cool surroundings. Our dishes were tasty (local variations of basic German food), not special. Beer is good, tried two variations of the restaurant's brew.

The food is horrible, any average quality cafeteria in German Universities can cook better than this with a quarter of the price they charge.

Maybe they don't care about having "regular or returning" customers, only a place for tourists. Just order beer and tell the Chef to learn German kitchen again from his "Oma".
