Description: Since the turn of the century exists a restaurant in Charlottenburg which is well-known as a synonym for comfortableness and quality. Nostalgia and the modern age are combined successfully here. Zille's inheritance is ever-present in our traditional restaurant. The glass fassade which has originally been preserved, the cobbled surface of the floor and the old pharmacist sideboard that has been changed to a bar, show more than 100 years of the restaurant's history. You can stay relaxed in this authentic nostalgic atmosphere, enjoy the best meals ever and let us spoil you the best way. The Zillemarkt belongs to Berlin as the Brandenburger Tor and the Spree!

“Terrible food, nice service and ambiance...”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The food is horrible, any average quality cafeteria in German Universities can cook better than this with a quarter of the price they charge.

Maybe they don't care about having "regular or returning" customers, only a place for tourists. Just order beer and tell the Chef to learn German kitchen again from his "Oma".

“Dreadful food”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

What a shame that the food was so bad, because this had all the makings of an authentic German night out. The staff were lovely and the setting underneath railway arches in a garden was great. We went for an evening meal. All the food offered was typically Germanic, but when you have to say 'at least the boiled potatoes were tasty' then you know not to order dessert. Huge portions, oversalted oxo style gravy on smoked ham, thick beer battered camembert...yuk.

“Just for a bear”
Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

Place is huge and not too cosy.
Seems to be a good place for a bear especially that they have some local brends and home bear.
Food is not worth a try. My travelmate tried a salad ( ham cheese and vegetable ) that was one of the worst dishes I have ever seen ( I didnt even try) made of cheap mortadela lots of onion and old cheese. No vegies no dressing - culinary disaster.

“Really nice and simple”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

It is actually difficult to find good Berliner food in Berlin. This place won't disappoint you with their own brewed beer and good old fashioned meat and vegetables. And not expensive either with two beers, a huge stuffed cabbage roll and roast pork plate with fried potatoes and spinach coming to only €26. Go and eat there!

“If you like to wait . . .”
Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Average food, nothing special. Very slow service and seemingly poorly organized kitchen. People who came in long after we did ate almost immediately. Bill was ?47 of which ?12 was for plain old water! Perhaps a 3 vote is too kind.
