I had the good fortune to dine at this exclusive restaurant in August with my wife. We booked it because it was rated as the best in Berlin. The restaurant only had room for 30 dinners seated at round tables with fresh flowers and candle light. This becomes even more authentic with the elderly man and woman waiting the tables - they had excellent timing and tolerated my poor German and had a fluent conversation in English with my wife. The food was fine French cousine. We enjoyed the lighter dishes and enjoyed a bottle of trocken Reiesling GG. We paid EUR 180 in cash - don't worry there is an ATM next door.

Had a great night out here. It's a little on the formal side, almost a bit much (felt like eating at your grandparents) but everything else was great. Food was very good, my only gripe being the veal fillet could have done with being a little rarer. The desserts looked amazing and tasted great as well. Almost as important as the food though was the setting, it does feel like having dinner in a ye olde french bistro or somewhere dating back several decades yet still being pristine. Go if you can when your in Beelin!

We booked this restaurant for a special birthday meal about a month before we arrived in Berlin in July 2014. The food was excellent. Not a wide choice but what was available was very well cooked and presented beautifully. There were four of us including our two sons, both in their twenties. I was unsure as to whether there would be enough food to fill them, but both were very happy with the portions. Mr & Mrs Heising made the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. Our night was made very special. A never to be forgotten experience. Thanks you.

This establishment rated on TA and happened to be a shirt walk from our hotel. Had trouble in getting through on the phone so called round to be greeted by Mrs Heising who kindly found us a table for the following night. As other have said it's like going to your posh grannies for dinner 30 years ago. the decor is dated but stylish and clean. The food is "old" French style (including foie gras and frogs legs!) but beautifully cooked and presented. The whole place is well orchestrated by Mr and Mrs Heising - both of whom ooze old world charm (especially Mr who proves that you can still charm the ladies at any age! - well done sir!). It's amazing in today's competitive world that they take the number 1 spot in Berlin - with French cooking! Not cheap but good value. I think they deserve it....
