I love being in northern Germany during asparagus season! This is really a Spanish place, but except for their very-German variation on tapas, we all stuck with the asparagus theme. The creme soup starter was delicious, with a hint of sweetness that gave it a real originality. And the main dishes (some all asparagus, some combining asparagus with various cured hams) were everything one expects ... plentiful, tender and delicious.
We topped the meal off with some interesting desserts that were sized correctly ... just a few bites of tasty temptations rather than an invitation to adult-onset diabetes. I really will have to go back some time and see what the Spanish menu has.
