“Nice Hotel / Good Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2009

We stayed in room 313, one of many rooms available with a balcony, a feature we always find very nice. The front desk staff was very helpful, and knew the answer to every question or request we had. The rooms were spacious and quiet. Comfortable beds and furniture. The air conditioning was a bit weak.

The Adina Apartment Hotel was very nice with a professional staff. We stayed in an apartment and was perfect for our stay along with being quiet and comfortable. Everything was perfect with the facility and their staff!

We did book inside parking but there seemed to be ample outside parking too.

The location is fine and safe however keeping in mind the area is going through changes and will take sometime with a city that has a 60 billion debt, Adina's location in the east is close to the major historical sights and culture events, quite easy to move around the city this location.

I might add that our reservations were made only a few weeks ahead of time and Adina was extremely flexible with our departure date. We had reserved for three nights and could not decide on a fourth night but they understood and kept the option open to us. There were no issues with reservations, very organized and cooperative and helpful.

We would highly recommend this hotel as we do travel extensively, must add this is one of the nicer hotels we stayed and like the apartment alternative!

This is a very nice hotel in a neighborhood of apartment buildings, set back a block off Leipzigerstrasse, a main street. The staff is very pleasant and helpful; we had to wait an hour or so to check in due to the previous tenant for our suite not having removed his belongings, but we were ushered to the very pleasant courtyard and given a free beverage while we waited. I had arranged (I thought) a feather-free apartment through the booking emails (didn't use the online booking) and found lots of feather pillows and duvets. The hotel had their housekeeping staff come immediately to our apartment to change over everything to synthetic pillows, etc. I had reserved this hotel for more than a year and had sent ahead credit card info to hold the room. I had sent a confirming email the week before and everything went as planned. There is a short walk to each of the local subway stations but it isn't too bad. When leaving, we were able to get our rollie suitcases over to the Spittalmarkt Station, travel to Zoo Station on the U2, and then get the X-9 bus to the airport very conveniently...probably the least expensive trip to an airport we have ever made! This was the most expensive place we stayed in Germany, but it lived up to our expectations, giving us a truly quiet, relaxing and spacious environment after two weeks of travel. We tried to offset the cost a bit by shopping locally and having breakfast in our apartment and often making a sandwich for lunch as well. There were only two of us, but there is plenty of room and privacy in the two bedroom apartment for two couples or a couple with children. Like other reviewers, we were initially put off by the neighborhood, but found no problems whatsoever walking back late at night after sporting events or dinner.

Booked this hotel six months ago in Feb 09 as valentine's present for b/friend. Aug w/e was our birthday w/e. Arrived at Adina to book in to be told they had given our room to someone else. They had a couple turn up to a wedding but they had not booked a room so they gave them ours! When we complained, Simone shrugged her shoulders and said 'it's common practice to do this'. Well it's not common practice in my book. Despite complaints that they'd had my money since feb for the booking she wasn't going to budge. She booked us into another hotel which did not have the amenities that I had booked originally. This was on the understanding that we would come back to the Adina the next eve. Next day we arrive to book in to be told they have given our room away YET AGAIN!! No more ms nice guy! Simone was not there (surprise!) so we were put on to another woman (Carol). She was not going to find us a room in the hotel either. I was distraught. This had been booked for SIX MONTHS; it was a valentine's present and was booked for our birthday weekend. In the end she booked us into The Regent for the last two days of our stay. We had wasted precious time on something we should not have had to endure with staff who could not have cared less. Do not trust this hotel with your booking; you may turn up to be told they have given your room away!

This hotel is tops for amount of room, value and designer look. Hotel (really apartments) look fairly new and all have washing machines (except studio). The location is not bad, which is two blocks from U train station and a few blocks from the shopping/restaurant area. They even have a small indoor pool/gym in the basement.

I highly recommend.

Four of us stayed in a two bedroom suite for a very reasonable rate. Loved the bountiful and delicious breakfast buffet (included), the clean and sleek contemporary decor, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, washer/dryer, great location... Everything was as promised on the website. What's not to like?

Hotel was amazing! Staff very friendly. Managed to check in early with no extra charge. Lidl right across the street so able to stock up fridge and cupboards with supplies, to cut costs.

Excellent location, 2 min walk from S Bahn. Me and my friend, both female early 20's felt perfectly safe coming and going from hotel. even in the wee hours!

Rooms where huge! Come with dishwasher, washing maching and tumble dryer. We went to the pool, and sauna a couple times and was always very quiet and very clean.

Hotel was nice and quiet at night. Happy at bar 5:30-7. :D
