Our guide Jim was extremely knowledgable and brought the tour to life. We learnt a lot in a short space of time. I would highly recommend this tour.

I had read about this on the internet before taking our trip to Berlin, but had not prebooked the tour, as I wasn't sure if the other members of our party would be interested, they were so we headed to the meeting point, very easy to find and booked onto the tour there and then. I am so pleased that we did, our guide Carlos was a very informative young man and very passionate about telling the story of Sachsenhausen and the horrors that went on there, but in such a way to make you try and understand why some people did what they did to survive. I would certainly recommend this tour, there is quite a lot of walking so do be prepared, also the tour was 6 hours in duration so I would recommend that you take something to eat with you, whilst there are places near the station to get food, there is nothing once you get to the camp. I learnt an awful lot about not only the 2nd World War but also the history of Germany and Berlin prior and post the war. Thank you Carlos

I was very wary of organised walks - couldn't I get it all from a book? - but am a total convert. For 4 hours we walked around central Berlin with Kevin, who was a brilliant guide with a real understanding of the city and its fractured history. He was able to set out really well how everything fitted together - from the start of the city in a marsh up to the present, and was more than willing to have debates around our questions. There's no way we could have got half the experience from the book. Well worth doing.
There were more people than we expected, maybe 25, but that wasn't a problem at all.

We did this 3 hour tour on our first afternoon of our visit. JOHNY was great - he was testing using an i-pad to back up his talk. This was really effective as he was able to add texture to the historical facts (photos of key characters etc.). My 15 year old - who did not have a good reaction to the thought of a 3 hour walking tour (!) - described Johnny and the tour as interactive, funny, interesting
Hits all the major sights and is a fantastic orientation if you're new to Berlin
