“Know your place..”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

I have travelled around the world and eaten in many excellent restaurants, though I have never had to wait for 90 minutes between starter and main..and with no real apology or no real care for the customer (I was neither the guest of a large group being hosted by a drug company attending a local conference or a local). Sadly my partner and I left at this point....The restaurant is no doubt a pleasant place to eat, otherwise we would not have been tempted to enter....just be aware if a large group has entered before you, and if you are not German, get ready for a long frustrating evening.. Loved Berlin, and many other fine restaurants in the locality happy to provide an enjoyable evening to tourists..

“Great service”
Reviewed March 10, 2012

I would recommend this restaurant for service and quite a diverse menu. the food wasn't to write home about but the bread was fresh and the ingredients good quality too. The service is actually outstanding.

“Great little restaurant”
Reviewed November 9, 2011

We found Sachs in passing and, despite the large fish displayed outside, discovered the menu was a lot wider. Friendly, English-speaking staff and a pleasant bar-like atmosphere; good food and good value. No rush to finish your meal, and good beer. Don't go if you are in a hurry - the pace is a bit slower.

“Nice dining experience”
Reviewed December 6, 2010

Good food, good service and nice & warm on a cold winter evening. It was a very good evening. The olny minus point was that I was a bit suspicious of my wild mushroom soup when they served it. The mushrooms were in a pile in the centre of the plate onto which they poured the liquid when they served it at the table. It was a unique touch but in reality it made me think they were just pouring fatty gravy onto the mushrooms. It spoiled the impression they should have given that the wholoe thing had been cooked as one.
A definite plus point was the dessert we chose of 5 mini portions of the range on the menu. Just sumptious!

“Nice Brunch on sundays”
Reviewed August 25, 2010

Sachs offers a very good Brunch on Sunday for a fair price. The buffet features a mix of traditional german dishes but an assortment of exotic/italian salats, appetizers making the choice of food quite harmonious.
the location is perfect, between Savigny Platz and KuDamm and in Summer you can enjoy the nice terrasse
