We went here for dinner on a saturday night. We were new to Berlin and this was our only night there, so we wanted something authentic and good, but not too stuffy. We booked the winebar, which was perfect for us. We were given a lovely big table. Atmosphere was superb. Food was good - but the starters, in particular, could have done with being a bit more interesting and there was no vegtarian option, save for a side salad, which was a bit disappointing. Main courses were interesting and delicious, though. The wine list is extensive - over 1000 bottles - and the waiter chose us a bottle based on our likes/dislikes and price range, which was excellent and not overly pricey. Service was excellent. All in all, would highly recommend.

Not all Michelin star restaurants are created equal. This one will dazzle the ones who appreciate fine and recognizable ingredients presented in visually pleasing manner and just the right flavor combinations. We had the 8 experience meal and indeed it was one of the best experiences of the last few years. The staff was helpful and pleasant but absolutely not stuffy.
the decor is simple, almost could use a bit of an upgrade but it does not matter.
Very large selection of wines and a not pushy knowledgable sommelier.
If you love exquisite real food done to almost perfection, this place will give you that.
Well worth the price.
My top dish? The red mullet. Normally I only enjoy it raw.
Enjoy.

This place is amazing ! We visited Berlin and were given this name as a place not to miss. We went there in mid week and it was awesome. The food was exquisite and the wine pairing was amazing. This is a fresh food, menu created on the day, superb restaurant.
We rave about this place every time we discuss the best places to eat. Top drawer!!
You have to book and bring your credit card !

We pre booked this restaurant because we like to eat at michelin star restaurants and we were not disappointed at all.
I am surprised that it is so low on the Trip Advisor list - it should be in the top ten.
When we arrived we had a glass of champagne and then chose the 8 course menu - called the 8 experiences. We chose to have the glass experience with each course and these were chosen and served by Billy Wagner who was a great wine waiter - each course was beautifully paired with just the right liquid experience.
The food included langoustine, pig's ear, scallop, truffle risotto, wagyu beef and more - all delicious.
It was the most expensive meal we have ever had - but a real treat for food lovers. The restaurant ambiance is not stuffy like some michelin star places were people look down their noses at you - we felt relaxed and that made for a great evening.
We even got a copy of the menu to take home and 2 boxes of hand made chocolates.
Worth every penny. Thank you Billy Wagner for a great evening.
