We ate here on our first night in Berlin, mostly based on location and TA reviews. It was fairly busy on a Tuesday night, but we had no trouble getting a table.

Petite Europe serves large portions of decidedly average Italian fare at low prices. It's not surprising that it's a hit with the locals, but we have no plans to eat there again.

We ordered the mozzarella salad and bruschetta as starters. The latter was the same boring dinner rolls that were served with the meal, sliced in half and topped with chopped tomatoes. The squid was over-salted and the ricotta & spinach cannelloni was very dry.

If you're looking for a good trattoria in the area, try I Due Emigranti on Belziger Str. Slightly more expensive, but much better food.

Excellent little restaurant right outside U Bahn Kleitspark . Went here after a visit to Schloss Charlottenburg . It is that sort of down to earth unpretentious gem we all look for . Simply decorated but with plenty of old photos and a real family vibe . Excelllent food and excellent value and very little waiting time even when it was busying up . Beefsteak and Gorgonzola Sauce , Tuna Pizza , Salad , Bottle of wine and complimentary Bruschetas ,Sambucca and Amaretto and change from 40 euros . You can't go wrong .

Really enjoyed this restaurant, it had a lovely cosy, family feel. Very popular with locals and you could tell there were many regulars. The staff were very sweet and friendly, speaking excellent Italian, German and English.

The food was basic Italian fayre but it was delicious, generously portioned and arrived quickly.

It was so good we went twice :D We got lucky with getting a table but think you should make reservations at the weekend.

I would agree with the previous reviewer who said this is the best pizza I've had! It was so delicious we went back. Good value at 6.50-7.00 euro for a BIG pizza, could easily have shared one. A nice cosy, friendly Italian-run restaurant, as previous reviewer said was a bit of confusion when first ordering (clientele mainly locals not tourists) then became a lot more relaxed as staff mainly conversed to guests in Italian anyway. Also received a complementary grappa afterwards! Slightly out of the way and not central but right by Kleistpark U-Bahn (just a few steps) so worth heading out here if you're near the U7 line.

The chaps that run this place are Italian, which always makes ordering confusing and a mismatch of German, English and Italian! However the food is wonderful and all homemade and hearty. perfect for an evening of rest after exploring Berlin on foot.

The front of the restaurant is busy and buzzy and there is a back room which is more sedate and possibly less cheery, but still the food makes up for it. It's a great place for vegetarians and the staff are very friendly snd helpful.

Grab yourself a delicious pizza, carafe of wine some tirimasu and enjoy at a very reasonable price indeed
