Excellent food. Very busy during weekends, it is better to reserve a table in advance. I really enjoyed its atmosphere at lunch time when it is quieter. Service is also very good and friendly.

We stayed in Prenzlaur Berg and went to Pasternak for the famous Berlin brunch. We were not disappointed. A great experience and full of locals. You can order from the buffet lots of interesting canapé type foods, a BBQ of pork, sausages and squid cakes, fruit etc etc. AND you can order a la carte from the Breakfast menu. The staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee mit milch perfect. We sat outside in the sun. We then headed off to the Flea market at Mauer park! well worth a visit

This is a Russian restaurant. Decor is nice and the menu is interesting, but the food was average. Overcooked veal that looked great on paper, but was disappointing. Service was good.

Pasternak used to be a restaurant, where food was great. I am sorry, but the experiance was bad! Where is the proudness and and the serious cooking?

We entered the place without planning it... and it was a very good surprise, with a Russian atmosphere, with customers speaking Russian (a good sign of quality), with deco at its best.
Food is fine and delicious
