Got a table here without booking at about 7.30 due to a no-show. Was busy (full) then, but tailed off later. Very dark, almost kitsch decor. Had a carafe of red, beetroot soup, pickled beef, calves liver & ice cream with hot cherries - very North German and delicious apart from the thicker parts of the liver being undercooked. Friendly multilingual staff. (We heard English, French, & Italian as well as German.) Made an error in the bill and charged us for the next table's pudding as well, but soon sorted that out although they had paid and gone by the time we departed. Would go there again, but probably not more than once per trip.
