I would highly recommend Miniloft. Quiet position, yet really easy access to all of Berlin's highlights! Comfortable, clean rooms, with all the facilities we could need. Helpful and well informed staff on hand.
Excellent set-up - and fantastic value for money - I would definitely go back!

Two of us stayed in a Compact Loft which was perfect for our needs. Generally nice and quiet other than some construction noise which seems ever prevalent in Berlin. Great pace to base ourselves close to the main train station and other public transport

We stayed here for 5 days as a family in a Classic loft (2 adults, 2 kids under 10). It was ideal for us because it had the privacy of a home but with cleaning service and no fuss. The staff was very friendly and helpful – they recommended restaurants, guided us to nearby playgrounds and even lent us a stroller for our toddler.
Miniloft provides guests with a specially created map of the local area marking the good places nearby as well as recommended walks/tours in the larger area. It is very inspirational and really easy to follow.
The building is situated very close to sights such as the Museum of Natural History (2 minute walk) and Oranienburger Strasse (5 minute walk). The neighborhood is quiet, cozy and well worth exploring.
I recommend it for couples and families with 1 or 2 young children – it is a bit small if the children are older than 8-10 years.

Room Tip: Choose the Classic loft if you have a hint of vertigo!

Our family of five recently traveled to Berlin and we rented both an extroverted and introverted room, to accommodate our group. We all loved the minimalist, chic decor and the environmentally conscious building and living touches. Both rooms were very spacious, the beds comfortable and the fully equipped compact kitchen served us well. The location was great, within a block of a grocery store and tube stop and many restaurants within walking distance. So where we weren't able to walk, we took the underground. Nothing seemed out of the way at all. Like those before me mentioned, the guide book that Miniloft provides is excellent.
We did a "Fat Tire" bike tour of the city and all (across the ages) loved it. I would highly recommend this as a fun and informative way to get to know the city.

Having stayed at Miniloft twice, both times with children, it has become the number one choice when going to Berlin. It is not primarily because of the convenient location or the reasonable prices. What makes the difference are the completely hassle-free and friendly logistics, the relaxed atmosphere, combined with the functionalistic and practical appartments. It is simply not like a hotel but more as if you had your own place in Berlin to return to. Highly recommended.

Our family of 4 spent just under a week at Miniloft and loved the minimalist clean lines of this wonderful loft. Very well located in the Mitte with fabulous tips provided by the owners/managers on where to eat, play, shop, visit...rode all over central Berlin by bike so this was a lovely place to return to with weary legs.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back (older part may be quieter) but the Extrovert rooms are largers and more modern.

Myself and my wife stayed here in one of the micro rooms. It isn't quaint and cottagey; it's urban, minimalistic and chic. If you are looking for comfiness you should probably visit the Schwarzwald. The Miniloft is centrally located, easy walk to attractions in the East. The staff were grand and "functional" in that we found them a little standoffish compared to what we get at home from staff in hotels etc. However, they did their job perfectly and we had no complaints.

Friends of mine have stayed in bigger rooms here with their children and have found them to be more than suitable. In fact it was they that recommended the place to us. We would stay again.
