Read some negative reviews before going but couldn't see any issues? Used the safe so nothing stolen, breakfast choices were great, something for everyone. Small negative was that 'client services' barely conversed with me when approached, let alone crack a smile or try very hard. There was one negative woman on reception that couldn't seem to wait to say 'no' but her male colleagues compensated. I went there on a 'deal' and more than got what I paid for! Easy walk to underground and easy connections.

Hotel Berlin, Berlin is a fun, quirky hotel. The rooms are modern, large and have excellent provisions including free wi-fi which is expected but not always a given. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower spacious.

Some of the art attractions round the hotel are fun. Music/dialogue blaring out as you come to/from the lift makes you smile, although it can grate early in the morning.

The gym is a little small, but has a good range of free weights. Some air would be a welcome touch too.

Food in the hotel was excellent, as was the service. Close to good shops and bars too.

This hotel is much bigger than we imagined and getting from reception to our room on the fourth floor took a while! Nevertheless, the place has friendly and efficient staff and the rooms are smart and comfortable.
The hotel appears to be very new; everywhere is clean and the ultra modern decor in the lobby, bar and restaurant is quite striking.
We stayed as part of a package which included breakfast in the price. This was plentiful with some really tasty cooked dishes. There are plenty of restaurant staff and people working on reception - needless to say, everyone we encountered spoke perfect English.
The rooms are spacious and include tea and coffee making facilities.
Less than five minutes walk is Nollendorfplatz u-bahn, with easy access to Brandenburg and the heart of Mitte district. Across the road from the hotel is the memorable Lutzowplatz Bar - well worth an (expensive) cocktail. Across the road from Nollendorfplatz are lots of gay bars and restaurants in the Schoneberg district. We went to a few of these such as Blonde, Hafen, and More (restaurant).
All in all, this is a good choice. A smart hotel in a safe neighbourhood with plenty of nightlife close by.

We are coming to the end of a 5 night stay in Berlin which we have really enjoyed. The hotel has been a welcome place to return to after long days trudging through snow and ice in bitter, biting winds. The staff at reception have all been approachable and extremely helpful in answering our questions ensuring that we made the most of our time in the city. Cleanliness is consistent throughout the premises, public areas, corridors, all reflect the same high standard as the rooms.
We prefer to eat out as this offers us the opportunity to get to know the locals and their way of life, as a result I cannot comment on the hotel restaurant. Bella's Bistro is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, a small cafe with a wonderful couple offering breakfast and lunch in a friendly atmosphere. I recommend this cafe wholeheartedly.
As Berlin has a very good transport system it is so easy to get to anywhere in the city, the 100 bus stops just outside the hotel taking a route which goes through most of the main tourist sites. We bought the Welcome Card on arrival allowing us to travel around freely for 5 days with the bonus of discounted offers to museums, restaurants etc.
Thanks to our experiences we will definitely be returning to Berlin and staying at the Hotel Berlin Berlin.

Stayed at the Hotel for two nights when attending a trade show at Messe Berlin. Had problems with check in when the receptionist could not find the reservation. Took 30 minutes to check in despite the fact they had available rooms and I payed with my own credit card. The receptionist was negative and could not make a single decision without checking with the back office.

The room was spacious and spotless - and I probably got one of the older rooms. Breakfast was suberb, lunch was boring and tastless. Find another place for lunches!

An ok Hotel with a good location, but the reception is a disaster.

This hotel is superb....from being spotless for its extremely posh effect from lighting to seating. We went on a travel zoo deal which included breakfast..this breakfast is not to be missed. Every savoury sweet food you could imagine. The omelette bar is a special touch.
Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The location in my opinion is superb right next to a line of different restaurants and bars and next to KaDaWe superstore and shops. To go into historic berlin catch the bus 100 outside the hotel. This will take you towards the government buildings, checkpoint Charlie and all other important tourist areas.
Maibach was a nice restaurant just down the road from the hotel towards the underground station.
