Our guide, Nigel, made the tour of the Sachenhausen concentration camp the most deep impacting experience of our trip to Berlin. There is not much left of the original camp itself but the history he gave behind the grounds forced upsetting understanding of how the camp ran and treated its prisoners. his opinions of its use today added much to the experience too and were very interesting. He has stories about his own experience in the military and also his encounters with survivors of the war as well as ex Nazis, including an SS guard, themselves. Fascinating. The amount of knowledge he has is remarkable. He is very kind, interesting and passionate about the subjects into which he delves. He also took us on graciously from another company's tour whose guide was sick. Though we added numbers to the group, he made the numbers feel intimate and friendly anyways. This company's tour is professional, Interesting and emotional.

Having never been on a walking tour of a city before, I have to say I was a bit dubious as we gathered in the pouring rain ready to embark upon Berlin's Insider Tour. However, my apprehensions quickly abated as we met our fantastic tour guide, Nigel. The 'famous city walk tour' came alive as Nigel offered us his fascinating and often bemusing insights and particulars about this great city. The pace was perfect and the atmosphere jovial. We hung on Nigel's every word as we connected the sights to the stories. Highlights included the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Checkpoint Charlie and The Gendarmenmarkt. It was Nigel, however, who really made the tour; his personal experiences and comprehensive knowledge of the city, both past and present was the perfect introduction to Berlin and set the tone for the rest of our trip. Thank you Nigel! (The three young girls in your group- Ciara, Andii and Kerry)

The tour was well planned and touched a few of Berlin's endless attractions.

Tarek was probably the best guide I could ask for - the man had so much knowledge about different areas which concerned the tour and he passed the tour with a light and humorist vibe. Nothing too detailed and nothing important seemed to slip away.

This 4-hour walking tour, including a 30 minute cold drink and toilet break, was a great introduction to both the history of Germany and Berlin and to the main sites. This tour will help first-time visitors select which museums, historical buildings, parks and memorials they want to spend more time at. If your time in the city is limited, this tour will acquaint you with the highlights. My tour guide, Tarek, is an architect who is also in a Ph.D. Program at Humboldt. He exhibited an impressive grasp of the sweep of history, giving us not a memorized name-and-date spiel, but a narrative that revealed both his passion for and understanding of the nuances and consequences of historical acts. His delivery was fast-paced, informative, and interesting, punctuated with insights and humor. Based on this tour, I will be taking two more of the Insider Tours this week.

with having just arrived in the city figured taking the city walking tour was the fastest way to see all the main areas and tourist points. Barnaby our guide did make it an informative and interesting day as he took us to all the main areas and in great detail told us all about what occurred or happened at each location or what museum or attraction it was we were standing in front of and to begin with he even gave us a quick history lesson by drawing in the sand Germany and explaining all about the east west boarders the soviet influence the communist versus the capitalist ideas and what they meant for eastern Europe and Berlin in particular, in summing up it was well worth all the walking and thoroughly recommend trying the tour if you in Berlin,
