I believe this memorial is very fitting and I'm glad I had the honor of visiting it. There are plenty of nearby souvineer shops and eating establishments.

the monument is heavy, with shadows in straight lines that distort according to the sun and you walking it.

I myself didn't get it, however the wife obviously did as she was moved to tears. Went to Auschwitz earlier in the year which WAS a chilling experience.

This was a very thought provoking memorial - at 1st glance it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in amongst the granite blocks the realisation of what happened in the not so distant past really hits you.

When I saw it I immediately wanted to know what sort of memorial is it. This is like a living, breathing and mourning cemetery with graves, so many graves of different height not having enough space under the ground...
