Stayed with a colleague in April when visiting University of the Arts Berlin, nearby. Twin room was on the ground floor but was spacious with a lovely bathroom and the street noise did not disturb us even when we opened the window. Nice simple quality decor throughout the hotel and rooms.

The breakfast is expensive by Berlin standards, and while there are lots of cafes in the vicinity we enjoyed an indulgent breakfast each morning in the hotel while taking advantage of the hotel's wifi to work out travel plans and mail home.

Getting to the hotel from the train was really easy, even with luggage, it's not far.
Staff were helpful and friendly at all times. A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

When me and my 2 Friends arrived it was after 11pm and Reception was closed so we had to ring up and then got our key from a box outside seamed strange to me as we barely explained who we were no passport was needed to check in which was unusual as most hotels do that.

The location of the hotel is 13 underground stations from Alexaderplatz which we thought was very far away as East Berlin was more appealing for our liking, recommend getting the Train ( S-bahn)

None the less we got to our room and were very happy with the size as we were expecting to me squashed together the 3 of us, only downside to the room there was no Fridge which was an inconvenience as i do love a cold beverage in the morning, evening and afternoon
Also there was no air conditioning and it was extremely hot in the mornings but to loud to leave windows open, But there was a Fan in the room I would have died if the Fan was not there.

The beds were very comfortable, better pillow's would be a recommendation

The free cakes and Drinks on the roof top Terrance was really good for us as we made that our breakfast, was not the nicest of cakes but for free cant go wrong, loved the selections of Tea's.
The housekeeping did not disturb us once during the week which was perfect

There was one very friendly receptionist who was a Pleasure to deal with and to look at,

This is the first time I visited Berlin, I booked this hotel online just by looking at the photos and prices(of course some reviews that I don't usually buy it) and it turned out to be a great choice, The location is really good, there are shops and restaurants just around the corner, and just 10 minutes walk to main streets, 5 minutes to public transportation.
Especially, China town is just a few blocks away. For Chinese who misses home cooking is a blessing.
The spacey room is another surprise. I have experienced in stay 3 stars hotel in Europe with a very very small beds and bath, but Otto has got a very spacey double room with modern interior and especially big windows allow us to have evening breeze after a long day walk. I like it very much and will certainly come back again. Oh. the staff is also very helpful and nice.

Room Tip: There are restaurants near-by, might have some noises at night, but it is bearable.

We also loved the snack bar which can be used free of charge for sweets, coffee, soft drinks, small sandwiches and fruit. This was very good for a late afternoon snack to keep you going until the evening meal. The staff was very helpful in planning details of the rest of our trip after leaving Berlin. This was important because there was flooding in areas where we planned to visit. Staff also gave helpful hints on which metro stations are easiest to navigate with luggage and where to buy train tickets. This hotel is also within very easy walking distance of some of the best restaurants in Berlin. All in all an excellent choice.

Nice and spacy place with excellent service
The rooms are very spacious, with a walk-inn closet. Unfortunately there was no airco with a temp of 35 degrees.
The service was excellent. Fresh fruit, water, excellent breakfast. Till 9 pm you can acces the restaurant free of charge for fruit, snack, coffee and tea. And nice deck with view

Room Tip: No airco and no good acces for less mobile people. But service is excellent
