“Fantastic place to stay in Berlin”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Hommage a Magritte was by far the nicest place that I have stayed in a very long time.... Berlin is a very cool city and Hommage fits right in with its art, sophisticated atmosphere and multi-lingual hosts.
The location near Kurfurstendamm is superb and makes for easy connections to Tegel airport and all city transport links. My room looked out over the interior court garden and was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was a huge assortment of meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit, coffee, toast, croissants etc.... I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the interior court garden

Just spent a few days at H a M. Excellent experience! Located in a quite area yet very central and close to many transport lines. Aurelia and Roman were extremly helpful in every possible way. The lobby and room were very clean and wonderfully decorated. Breakfast was great. On the all: best value for money. Highly recommended, will visit again for sure. The place should be number one for its category

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights; neither of us wanted to leave. The surrounding neighborhood has really nice restaurants and shops and is close to public transportation. Our room was lovely and clean and quiet and comfortable, the breakfast is fresh and delicious. The proprietors could not have been more kind or attentive or helpful; they are genuinely interested in making sure your stay in Berlin is a good one. I hope to return to Berlin just so I can stay again at Hommage a Magritte.

Room Tip: Let Roman and Aurelia know what you would like and they will help you attain it.

The location is the key to this boutique hotel. Just a few minutes walk from the S Bhan and underground stations and convenient for visiting Potsdam and the music venues. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby and Roman will recommend the best ones. The rooms are a little sparsley furnished but adequate for a few nights and everything is scrupulously clean. The beds are comfly but pillows too soft. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room but you can get these from the breakfast room and can borrow a hair dryer.
Breakfast was a good selection of breads, meats, fruit, cereal etc and the coffee was excellent!
Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: A room at the back away from the road

We took a gamble on this place on the basis of other Tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. This charming, slightly eccentric family-run hotel is located between Ku'damm and Savigny Platz, a lovely, unpretentious area in west Berlin with a wide choice of bars, restaurants, boutiques as well as major chains. Close to the U-bahn and well connected by bus to Tegel airport. Roman, Aurelia and Michael were the perfect hosts and gave us excellent, personalised tips on exploring the area. Roman even took the time to hand-draw a map, which was well worn by the time we left after 3 days! The hotel is modern, clean and despite its central location very quiet. We were upgraded at no extra cost to a large corner room with balcony overlooking a leafy garden. Breakfast was ample and well-presented. The hotel leaves you in no doubt about the owner's passion for surrealism in the wonderful artwork by the Spanish-based artist Jull, which adorns each room and corridor. Rene Magritte would be proud! We can thoroughly recommend this place and will certainly be back!

This was a boutique hotel that grows on you. We stayed for three nights. The owner was really top value and made us welcome. The accommodation is all on one level, with an array of very nice pictures lining the walls. The room was adequate for our needs, very clean and well serviced .

Lovely refurbished hotel in old grand building - lots of art work on the walls to admire especially the wall paintings. Roman the proprietor is very welcoming and helpful. Staff are also eager to make your visit comfortable. Yes the room is sparsely furnished but bed comfortable (although pillows too soft!) and enough storage for a few days and everything is spotless. We had a standard room overlooking the courtyard and it was quiet for the time we were there. To note there is no kettle or hair dryer in the room. The building and hotel felt very secure.

You can help yourself to hot water, tea and coffee from the breakfast room and breakfast is continental with lots to choose from.

Just a few mins walk from S Bahn or underground. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

We look forward to going back next year and would thoroughly recommend.
