A perfect place for a businessman, a family, a couple or even a mother and daughter guests! The Melia is by the side of the Spree River and close to Berlin’s attractions. The S Bahn & U Bahn and tram stations are close by. The boat ride to the Museum Island is particularly nice. The hotel has many offers such as the Level club which offers cakes and tapas. The staff is very helpful and tries to go through their chores without too much of a fuss. The rooms are really nice and designed so as to keep the outside noise out. Despite the hotel being fairly large with 364 rooms, the service levels are impressive giving a feeling of being served individually. The café Madrid offers special menus such as the Theatre menu and the Gourmet menu. Companies would love this hotel with its 7 different conference sizes.

This hotel is exactly as described, very comfortable, clean, very friendly staff, the rooms are bigger than average, bathrobes, slippers and all toiletries supplied are of great quality, lovely bar/lobby/breakfast room and in the right location to all attractions and the train station across the road can take you to any destination not just in Berlin but everywhere!,Although the room pricing is within the prices of other hotels of this class, the food and drink is a little overpriced.

The amenities that came with staying on "The Level" were impressive. The lounge provided to the Level floors had free drinks throughout the day and the nicest complimentary breakfast I've ever had. When booking, I just thought thought there would be a little lounge and bigger rooms but wow was I wrong. The room itself was very clean and the bathroom provided nice features, including heated floors. I really can't say enough nice things about this hotel. In passing I mentioned to a staff member in the Level lounge that my fiancé and I got engaged in Paris a couple days before and that night we came back to find a bottle of champaigne on ice in our room. This level of service can't be beat for the price. Also, the train station is just a two minute walk away, which made exploring the city incredibly easy.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The rooms were excellently furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Fabulous location. Our only downsides were that the rooms was terribly hot and turning down the air con didn't seem to have any effect - mine faced onto Frederickstrasse and the Spree so I opened the window but the traffic noise was dire.....I would also have liked free wifi and the chance to make a hot drink in my room - there are no facilities to do this. We went out for breakfast so can't comment on that. Overall we were impressed and enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

I stayed at the Melia for 4 nights in December to see the Xmas markets.
The room was quite big but the beds were two singles pushed together. No double beds here.

The TV only had CNN and BBC World News, in English, not very good these days. As a Melia member I had free wireless access so that was worthwhile. The speed was adequate but it did time out and the details had to be re entered. The 24 hour pass was timed to the second !

On 2 nights there were bad noises from other rooms around midnight and 1 am. Sounded like furniture being moved, hammering and so on. That was the only bad thing other than a staff member coming in at 0830am despite the 'do not disturb' card being on the door. The more I think about this I wonder what was going on? It wasn't the maid.
.
The breakfasts were good with plenty of choices and some foods freshly cooked, like eggs.
Gingerbread house in lobby (as usual at Xmas)

I would stay there again and expect to next Xmas

Room Tip: Rear rooms supposed to be quieter ( provided the other guests don't make noises lol)
