“An interesting place to relax”
Review of Liquidrom

Ranked #5 of 303 Spas & Wellness in Berlin

The Liquidrom has saunas, hot tubs, a heated salt water pool with underwater music, and a bar serving food and drinks. You can choose how long you want to stay 1, 2, or 4 hours or all day. We did the four hour package and it cost us 50 euro to get in.

They give you a little poker chip on entering, this is what you use to charge any purchases once you are inside. It fits inside the locker key which has a band that you can put on your wrist like a watch. This is a great idea because you don't want to carry money around in the pools and tubs - plus many of the people are completely naked besides the locker key.

When you go into the locker room there are two separate doors. My wife and I did not know which was for men and which for women. We ended up each choosing a door and ducking in. We came to find out that both doors lead to the same locker room. It is completely co-ed. Men and women in various states of undress - welcome to Berlin!

We ended up going back to the salt water pool. You walk in there and there is music playing, soft colored lights scan the room, but it is quite dim and intimate in there. And yes, it was quite amorous. There were several couples in various stages of rubbing each other, kissing, and possibly a bit more. But it was fun! The people watching was great - it gave us a little glimpse into a different part of Berlin.

There are all kinds of naked people walking around. Germans are not shy. Be open minded. A good percentage of the people were young and fit, but there were people of all ages and shapes. Be aware that you will see gay couples there as well.

You don't have to go naked if you don't want, only the saunas require nudity.

We also had some champagne and a couple beers at the bar. The service is not great, but it was no big deal.

Overall, it was quite relaxing and a unique experience. I would go again.

My friends and I had a great time at the Liquidrom. The spa and thermal bath are really nice and the cost is pretty reasonable. They have assorted saunas, a steam room, outdoor hot tub, and a great salt water pool. The entire space is quiet and relaxing. If you are American and not comfortable with public nudity, you should be warned that the Liquidrom is completely coed, including the locker rooms, and does not allow swim suits to be warn in the saunas. But if you are comfortable with nudity, you'll have a great time.

This place is great after a long day walking around berlin to relax the steam room is perfect and you also have 2 other saunas to choose from it does get crowded in the evening but its still great. The swimming pool is amazing all the lights changing colours and the fact to hear the music you need to have your ears underwater is just mind blowing so just relax and float in the pool. The only downside is the staff, they are rude and very uncaring there is a bar there that serves food and drinks but don't expect a friendly service you have to ask to be served and they you get a filthy look because you interrupted the staff talking amongst them selves, they are very slow at cleaning up the bar was covered in old glasses and they were not bothered at all.

I haven't been to a lot of spas, but I have been to enough of them to have an educated opinion. This place ranks highly among the ones I've been to, and despite it being "pricey" by Berlin standards, it's not very expensive compared to other spas around the world. The building itself is great. It feels clean and it smells good. The saunas are top notch, the pool is amazing, and everything else is very nicely done. There isn't anything budget-like about it at all.

The staff was very friendly. I didn't have much interaction with them, but the little I did have was good. The clientele felt identical to what you would see on a regular street. This means you'll have a mixture of young people and old from every demographic. Some have amazing bodies and others not so much. Oddly enough, the only ones that were shy about getting naked were the ones who probably the most attractive. Overall, everyone was very respectful and understanding. There was no staring or feeling awkward for those who aren't used to nudist spas. Some reviews say it's a hook-up place or a club for swingers but I disagree from what I saw. In the pool as the night went on, it was primarily couples and yes, most were making out but there was nothing scandalous beyond that. With a pool setting like they have, it would be impossible not to kiss if you actually love your significant other. That being said, the place is romantic that it's perfect for couples, but don't less romanticism get confused with sexism. It's not hedonistic like that at all. I saw a few skinny dippers but I know it's generally frowned upon in the rules, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were asked to put their suits back on. But, those who were skinny dipping didn't seem to be bothered by the clothed people and vice versa.

The food was good but nothing you can't get at a decent cafe. The prices aren't ridiculously high, but like any venue where you're 'locked' in, you have to expect to pay a premium on 3rd party products. This means 3,50e waters which one should expect. There's a lot to take in, and you'll want to go back and forth to the various offerings, so plan to spend 4 hours there, and more if you really like it. 2 hours is simply not enough, especially if you plan to get a massage.

Overall, I highly recommend this place. It's very relaxing with great saunas and pools. I recommend going as a couple, but going single is relaxing too. If you're worried about the nudism, don't. It's easy to get over it quick. If you're worried about people being too liberal about the nudism...don't. Maybe it's different on the weekends but it seemed very legitimate to me. It didn't appear to be some gay cruising hang out nor is it a swingers club.

We love this place - its amazing where the hours go and we had no trouble getting full value out of a "day card" This trip we made time to eat there too which too was better than expected. Floating naked in blood temperature water with the only sensory inputs being the psychadelic lighting and etherial underwater music is almost impossible to describe.
